Chameleon Walk - What Happened?

My cham used to do the "chameleon walk" and as you know it is so cute to watch. But now, he never does it. Not walking across the floor, not walking across the deck outside, and not even traipsing through the neighbor's yards on the ground. Is this something that they grow out of? I didn't think it was something that only young chams did. I thought it was their instinct to do this?

Maybe he is now more sure of his surroundings???

Isn't it something they do in the wild to 'blend in' with a naturally moving environment (swaying branches etc...)

Simba used to do it loads when he was a baby but hardly ever does it now at 14months old.

Keep him outside for an extended period of time in a big enclosure and I would not be surprised to see that walk come back.
