Chameleon too skinny?

So my mother seems to think that my chameleon is a little too skinny. But I thought they usually stay pretty skinny... does he look healthy?

How much are you feeding him, he does look a bit skinny in your previous thread on the pic??

I feed him about 10 to 15 depending on how long he will eat for. When he is done he crawls up onto my head and we go outside. It's just kind of our thing... he eats how ever many he wants...

Try a more varied diet. I am always looking for new foods for my girl. And because of it she has become less picky and she is usually willing to try anything! Sometimes I will catch moths, grasshoppers and earthworms which she now loves. A while ago on the forum I mentioned how picky she was and that would no longer be true. Now, when I feed her I give her whatever I can find and she is very healthy. Good luck!

Well I looked online. And thought about getting others. Bit I want nothing that flys and my pet store only really offers meal worms and crickets and the mealworms are way bigger than the space between his eyes.

I wouldn’t recommend mealworms at all for they are hard for chams to digest and this leads to a variety of problems. Well I don’t even know any pet stores that sell flying things. If you want better feeders I would suggest ordering online.

There are fruit flies and a bunch of others on joshsfrogs.com but a lot of them look a little big for how tiny his head is

Have you ever had a vet do a fecal exam to look for parasites? You seem to be feeding enough.

Are you able to weigh your chameleon? A food scale will be able to tell you how many grams it weighs so you can keep track. weigh the cham weekly on the same day of the week to see if the cham is gaining or losing weight.

Visually, it can be hard to look at a chameleon and say its too skinny or too fat since they are very good and changing their body shape to either inflate and look tough or deflate and get small enough to hide behind a branch.
