chameleon sun time

Hello, welcome to the forum. Sun time is good for a Chameleon, as long as he's secure and won't overheat. Do you have a screen cage, so the uvb can get through?

thank you
and he's pretty secure in his cage, yeah i have a screen with the uvb but seems weak
how long should i let him bask outside?
one more question what's a good lighting schedule? again thank you:D

People usually use 12 hours on / 12 hours off for lights. Let him stay out as long as the weather is ok......
What uvb bulb are you using? Oh, and what species of Cham do you have?

put him outside as much as possible. No UVB bulb can ever replicate the sun. Just make sure you provide shade and water if leaving out for long periods of time. UVB bulbs should be changed out about every 6 month or so. If yours is older than that, then you might want to change it out.

Try to go out when there weather isn't super hot though, around or under 80*F is good for a young baby. If it's hotter make sure he can get into shade and mist him periodically to cool him off. If he opens his mouth to thermoregulate then it's time to go back inside.

Natural sunshine is excellent for them though, try to do it as much as possible before it gets too cold outside!
