Chameleon size!

Hey guys
I'm new on here so be gentle! lol
I was wanting some advice re the size of my yemen chams!
I have two 6 month old females who are around 4 inches nose to vent, and was advised to get a male around the same age when they reached 6 months to breed.
I bought one today who is 7 months but hes about 6 inches and twice as wide! Hes really huge compaired to them!
Any ideas why there is such a huge size difference? Do the sizes sound right?

And even at that age you will still think, "oh my ... he's going to really hurt her! He's so big and she's so tiny ... "

Thanks for the advice guys and thanks for the welcome!
Most people i've talked to have said to breed them from six months as it would be less likley they will die eggbound but there seems to be a huge debate about the egg bound issue though!
Thanks for the link pantercham its the best care advise i've come across!
