So i gave my girlfriend my year old vieled because he was clawing at the screen for a couple days now. She hd her jacket of because his grip gives her little red bumps from his claws. I was dealing with some of my other chams when i heard my gf start screaming OH MY GOD! EWWWWWWW! i turned around and saw Kermit thrusting back and forth on her arm.

Has any one else seen or been sexually molested by their chams?
P.S. i got the gf;s permission to share the story so don't worry about me getting in trouble for sharing ;)

HA HA HA love glove............awesome!

But on the serious side, does that mean they are looking for mates, therefore it would be a very good time to introduce them to a female if she was receptive, or are males just always looking to get a little sumtin sumtin

My guy is a month or two younger and does the same thing.lol.its amazing how much harder he holds on when he does it too.one day all of the sudden he wanted out without the help of horns or any treat so I let him on my arm and the humping began ha ha h

The more I think about it, the more I think its so weird this behaviour, I mean no other lizard I know everts its hemipenes unless its mating with a female of its species.
Exception being some monitors like my male V. Acanthurus, which everts them when picked up, but dont try to mate with anything other than another of its species. Hemipenes remain everted for some various time after the mating but are simply 'cooling' (I guess) before being retracted.
Male Chams must be really stupid or Geared to go hell for leather to reproduce. Like MUCH more than normal. Or maybe both! :)
I wonder if the attraction is all color based? Do they do this if there is no possibility of chemical cues? Aka no females around at all ? Anyone with 'single' males experience a rape or frequently everted hemipenes?

At about 10-12 months they are looking for 'someone' LOL. Jake is VERY aggressive now, especially after having a chance to mate with a real chameleon. When he is out of his cage all he does is show off how bad @$$ he is. He just looks me in the eye and struts around with his tail swinging and lobes dark and extended.

He doesn't like the love glove anymore....

You have to ask? :D

Natural part of life... procreation of the species... it drives EVERYTHING.

But there IS a difference, there are only i think 3 or 4 animals that have sex for pleasure lion dolphn humans and i thinka coupe more. May be he is just having big waved of testosterone and hes humps to get it out?

Maybe, but I still think it is just a natural "reaction" rather than pleasure driven (which I seem to relate to). :D Even female species of some animals "grind" away. Birds will rub against their perch... dogs seem to hump anything. if you do a search you'll find general discussion about numerous animals doing "it." Seems natural to me. If I were a Chameleon with no other Chameleon to share... I might find a substitute, if at the very least, to make sure things are working and to keep them ready for the big day!
