Hi, I have a veiled chameleon and I am worried because for the last 7 days no signs of urine I check every day , he eats normal and I think he does drink because his eyes are looking just fine
I feed the crickets fruits and vegetables and lately I am mixing the dry food with chick meal because contains dry fruit, vegetables and meat source, please can someone help I don't want to wait till he is sick :(

I don't think you should be too worried. If his eyes are looking normal, I think that's a sign you're doing everything correctly. How old is he? How often do you spray the enclosure?

You will not see "urine" signs. Chameleons release their waste in one package. It will be a white urate and a brownish-grey poo. It will be similar to bird poo.

Chameleons do produce urine but the amount is variable. There are 3 components of elimination (4th for males) that being fecal matter, urates (concentrated and crystalized uric acid), and true urine. Sometimes the amount of urine is very small. Feed something like hornworms or silkworms and you will definitely see urine. Most of the time the urine is saturated into the fecal matter.

The 4th component is sperm plugs but they are not released with every bowel movement.

You can't judge hydration by urine output however. The best ways are to look at the eye turrets, casque, and coloration of urates. Well hydrated chams will have nice full eye turrets, there casques will have a nice full rounded appearance, and the urates will be very white. Yellowing to orangish coloration of urates is an early sign of dehydration. Casque depression and sunken eyes are a later sign.

Also sunken casques can be a sign of malnutrition.

I hope this is helpful

No urine signs

Thank you for your answer, the reason I was worried is because in 1 year he always notice feces and the white solid urine till now , his eyes look good , I will keep checking :)

Sometimes their urates are small. Like I said before I wouldn't worry too much as long as his eyes look good, he's active, and eating/drinking.
