Chameleon Maturity

So this is kind of a two-in-one question, I've never had a baby chameleon before and I'm really curious about growth rates, I understand that every chameleon is different but more or less how fast do they grow? At what age are they considered adults and full grown, and with that... at what ages do they start to grow into their colors?

My baby veiled is 2 months old and he's a tiny little squirt, about the size of a AA battery. I'm feeding him about (12) 1/4" crickets a day and am wondering how quickly he should be growing, granted I've only had him 5 days haha. His color tends to be a pale-ish green with some brown-red markings, and occasionally when he gets upset there is some incredible dark-green patterning, when do they usually grow into their bright colors?

Thanks!

Yes, as they mature, so does their color.

At his age, his appetite is about to go crazy. Make sure and foster this. Let him eat as much as he wants. Once he gets older. his level of food intake will decrease. This will be very noticeable.

Growth rate is very fast. He will grow exponentially over the next 6 - 8 months.

I know it's hard but try not to rush through the baby phase. It really doesn't last long at all and the next thing you know he'll be five times bigger and look nothing like he does now. They're sooo cute as babies! Enjoy it while you still can :)

He is the cutest little thing! I'm not trying to rush, just wanting make sure he is growing at the right rate :)

Congrats on your baby veiled! Usually babies grow fast when they are young, he should be getting progressively bigger every two weeks with the amount you are feeding him. Also-are you dusting your crickets with calcium and gut-loading them? Make sure you do so he gets healthy bones and does not develop MBD. They are most vulnerable to it when they are growing.

Yup, he gets calcium w/ d3 almost every time, and the multivitamin every 2 weeks, and the crickets have been eating a mix of collards and apples!
