Just got my first reptile 3 days ago.. He is usually a light green but when I got home today he was a darker green and had black big spots and tons of tiny spots.. Why??? Plus I noticed he had completely shed his skin over night..

He is also a baby. Not sure how old petco did not know either, but he is about 3 inches not including the tail.

They should just be stress spots, he may just be still adjusting to his new environment, not much to really worry about. Give him a little bit of space today, I know a lot of peoples chameleons are grumpy before and after shedding.

Don't worry, he is just a little bit stressed out.

Yeah, photo would be good. Also, where are the spots located? On the side or closer to the spine. Wanna make sure its not thermal burn.

Yeah, those are war colors. No worries, just make sure he is not always like that, if so there might be something ticking him off with the environment.

Just stress marks from the new home/ move.. Nothing to worry about. And if you got it from petco.. Just make sure you're extra careful with it and make sure you are misting and feeding it correctly. Petco doesn't know how to take. Care of chameleons properly and they're tend to be stressed out the whole time they're there. If the black stress continues for another day.. If the weather is nice and warm outside.. Take your cham outside for about 10 minutes and exercise it. It helps them relax.
