Chameleon habitats and seasonal depression

I'm doing research right now on how to make my enclosure feel like the real rainforest for my chameleons. I'm making them bioactive as well.
Does anyone know from experience if having these enclosures helps with seasonal depression? I live in Wisconsin and it gets so terribly cold. After reading the description of a proper setup it makes ME want to climb in the habitat and live there.

I don't have a medical background, though I have heard that full spectrum lighting might help. I would definitely follow up with your doctor. And let us know :)

At first I thought you were talking about your chameleon getting seasonal depression (there seems to be some confusion between that and a semi-brumation state).

I can relate to SD in humans; full spectrum lighting does help, IME—even LED bulbs, though I'm not sure that the light coming from a cham enclosure would be enough. We replaced all our overhead lightbulbs with full-spectrum LEDs.

Fortunately, were not in Westeros... Spring is here, and Summer's coming! ?

Vitamin D helps with seasonal depression, but there is health benefits to having living things around you, whether plants/animals/fish/etc. Exercise and admitting to myself that not much will get done outside of the house during winter helps me a lot lol.

Fun fact, many chameleons are not from rainforests. Most of the species that are usually kept as pets at least.
