if you live far away from a pet store can you feed a chameleon any of these?
are they are just as good as live besides not being live?

Not really.

that stuff is more or less crap, and its really not the same as live bugs.

if you live far away from a store, i would suggest buying in bulk and having them shipped to your house, or stocking up.

its covered in preservatives and other ickyness.

NTm it says gutloaded, but wiith what exactly?

Chameleons need to eat live food, mostly insects that are well gutloaded.

Have you considered breeding a couple types of bugs for yourself, and thus reducing your trips to the far away store? Depending where you live, there are also some bugs you can collect from the wild. And as was suggested, not hard to order bugs online.
