Chameleon fell help!!!

i just saw my baby panther chameleon fall from about 4 feet high onto the ground of his cage which isnt very padded and he seemed fine cuz he just got up and crawl back on the tree like nothing happened i think he his a branch on the way down cuz i think i saw him flip but i think he landed on his feet is there i should look out for to see if he's hurt??? i want him to be ok so badly he didnt seem hurt but im still scared thank you

He should be ok. I own a veiled but he started refusing his shower when I first got him and fell about 4 ft from the planter when i went to remove him. He hit the tub pretty hard and I freaked out and someone told me that they have a defense mechanism which makes the fall not too bad on them. He had a couple small bruises that went away within 2 days. Hope yours is alright as well!

I've had chams drop like apples from trees all the time; knock on wood, never an injury. they are quite resilient. expect it to happen again!

Should be fine! Just keep an eye out for any unusual behavior and any indication of injury - hopefully just a bruise but nothing more!

my baby veiled did the same thing today because she got spooked and fell strait to the bottom of the cage and curled into a ball and turned black i seriously thought she died it scared me so bad! i held her for a about 5 minutes and she calmed down then i put her in a tree and she is fine now! but i feel ya its scary..

I think they do this just to see if they can kill us off with a heart attack. The first day I had my first chameleon he was climbing on me and fell to the tile floor.

Just echoing everyone else, chams fall...I think it's happened to just about every person who has ever kept one. Also no injuries for me, although a few have looked a little stunned after, they usually go about their business like nothing happened!

i walked outa the room and my freind dropped my cham off a stick onto tile, i was like wtf man? but the cham was ok
