Hello. My veiled chameleon Kiwi (about 5-6 months old) didn’t want eat anything yesterday and she hasn’t eaten anything so far today, she is acting very weird also. Should I take her to her vet or should I wait to see if she eats today and maybe tomorrow? Here are some photos. Thanks! I’m very worried!

What size should my lying bin be?
I suggest at least 12x12” length x width. Depth doesn’t matter as much as long as it’s filled to about 6” deep with moist play sand, organic coil or a mix of the 2. It needs to be moist enough that she can dig a tunnel without it collapsing. They dig at an angle and not straight down.
Once she enters the bin and started digging, don’t let her see you or be disturbed. I cover just the visible sides with a light sheet. When she needs the bin & ready to lay, she’ll find it. The whole process may take a couple of days. You’ll know she’s done when she’s back in her usual spot, looking dirty and much thinner.

Thank you very much!

When I know my girls are super close to laying...like any day...I do cover at least the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of their enclosures in advance. That way they have the essential privacy if needed and I can see if they are basking and not yet ready to lay.
