Chameleon Blood Work

I'm taking both of my chameleons in for a check up and fecal test monday, I was wondering if I should also have blood work done? Or is that not necessary?

Yeah it checks for parasites in the blood, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut really if your chameleon had a parasite load in the blood....you'd know.

Up to you, but definitely not necessary unless your cham looks like it's been touched by Death.

Ok, thanks. Now that I think of it, its probably really easily to take to much blood from a chameleon when doing a blood test, especially since all my chameleons are small little guys .

Recently I've been going to Dr. Todd Cecil at the Emergency/Specialty Hospital off Jackson Dr. in La Mesa and have been very, very impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm for chams. I think all the other vets in town are very good, especially Dr. Boyer in Penasquitos and Dr. Brown's Rancho San Diego Animal Hospital. Never had a bad experience at any of them.
