Chameleon Bites…

I swear I have a super tolerant veiled when I see people post about theirs

Dude will climb out onto my sleeve while I work on his cage, he on occasion will give me a territorial response threatening to shoot his tongue at me or my phone camera but in 2 years has not tried to bite me once

This guy loves to strut his stuff

I’ve found handling him outside his cage helps keep his gut motility regular

Mine is slightly grumpy but has never bit me either. He doesn’t wanna come out of his cage ever, but when I open it to feed him he will walk right up to the front and chill with me. I’ve considered myself lucky 😂

I kinda feel you on this, as Chameleonaire has gotten older, he doesn't seem as interested crawling on me while working in his enclosure as he used to. I can still encourage him to crawl onto me with the temptation of food though, I like to use his treat bugs as an opportunity to bond a little bit. I was more interested in holding him when I first got him, but now I kind of leave it up to him. He isn't ever too mean to me but he does get a little grumpy if I bother him too much.

That’s exactly how Spaghetti is! He will be 5 this fall. I can always temp him onto a branch with a hornworm and he will always eat from my hand. But he won’t really crawl onto my arm anymore. He will grab my finger when I’m hand feeding him sometimes.
