Chameleon Bedtime?

Hey guys, so I've been getting more and more anxious about the arrival of my new little one. I started thinking about our days schedule. Most of our days start at 7am and many of them don't end until 10 or 11pm. Many of you have commented about your chameleons having 12 hr day and night cycles. Seeing as our chameleon will be in the active area of our apartment (which is completely tiny there's really 2 rooms this being the only one with the space to have him), he will have a hard time going to bed before we do because of the lights. Will sleeping only 8 or less hours be bad for our little guy? I don't want to do anything that could be a possible issue.

I would cover the cage at bed time with a dark sheet .

I use towels, but yes..just cover the cage.

If you have thick enough towels it will. Noise doesn't bother them much, due to them not having outer ears. As long as you can block the light he should sleep soundly

I also think covering the cage is the best option. And don't worry about noises, chameleons are pretty much deft!

I have learned that noise is not a problem but they do feel vibrations! Keep the bass on those subs and surround sounds down lol

Get some nice thick cheap towels and sew some Velcro on the edges. Then stick some Velcro on the top of the cage. Voila! Then get a smaller wash cloth for the top
