Cham time?

Its occured to me to wonder, exactly when and how much time, folk here get to spend, actually watching/handling/enjoying their chameleons?
*this IS NOT about handling or not ok.
What makes me wonder is that Im assuming, most folk here, either work, study, have kids, other hobbys etc etc, so many other things in daily life that consume our time.

When do you find time, purely to sit and enjoy these lizards, not cleaning time etc, but just simply 'pet time'?

I am fortunate, or unfortunate as the case may be, to have much of each day free , but its mornings (coffee time) I mostly get to dedicate to goofing off with my veiled, sometimes giving him walkabouts, sometimes just watching him uninterupted and undisturbed as he goes about being a chameleon.

How about you? :)

My lot moan that I spend too much time 'fussing over the lizard!' LOL! They just don't understand! I probably spend around 2 hours a day 'fussing', as they call it, more at weekends and my day off! Just looking at her makes me feel happy and when she sees me and 'asks' to come out it's just so rewarding! I love Amy so much I could kiss her! (I don't - just in case anyone thinks I'm that daft!):D I have my pets to love and spoil them!

Too much time for Pan's liking. I have all afternoon past 4 pm. I think he prefers it when I'm at school.

LOl Lil, I dont think I've ever met anyone who got so much pleasure and joy from their pet lizard as you do. Whenever I read your posts Im reminded of Marge's Sister from the Simpsons with her pet iguana. :)
Im glad your pet lights up your world. You must be a hell of wife/mother too with so much capacity to love.
Your posts never fail to bring a smile! :)

Dan if you were to ask David(hubby) he would tell you 24/7. That is not true. I have automatic sprayers but I spend a least 1 hour a morning giving each of my chams a warm morning shower. I hand spray an average of five 32 oz bottles of warm water on the kids. That lets me have time to just look at each one to be sure all is well and to watch then just for the joy of it. I also do the same in the afternoon but much less water.

Like you Dan I'm home all day. My den where I sit watching TV, usually with this lap top in my lap, I am surrounded by cages in every corner of the room and a 90 gallon fish tank with my beloved plecos, 12 species. 3 cham cages with 4 chams and the vorax viv.

jojackson, you are too kind, lol! I have never watched the simpsons so can't comment on that bit! Amy isn't just a 'pet lizard', she is well and truly part of the family!:p Now she wants to come out like Lily used to I spend more time with her than ever! This afternoon she sat on her ficus in the kitchen with me while I put the groceries away! She always wants to come out when I get home from work - I get the kind of welcome that you'd expect from a dog! I'm sure she would wag her tail too if she could, lol!:D
