Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

My mother had got up before me and had turned his lights on for me and she noticed after an hour are so he had his eyes closed at the very bottom branch of his new cage. So I got up and picked him up and showed his basking light and then he continued to stay away. Is it because its a new cage? He never once did this in his older cage  Below is a thread I made showing his adult cage

Cham sleeping during day in new cage

First off, thumbs up to you for being a concerned cham owner looking to stay informed and keep Sebastion healthy! I am currently breeding Panthers and Veileds (25 and counting) with about 1500 eggs incubating at this point in time. So, I hope that some of my experience can help.

Some chams take longer to adjust to a new cage than others. I recommend
keeping him in a low traffic area to avoid any added stress to him. Adding a live plant such as Hibiscus or Schefflera Arboricola will give extra hiding places to feel safe in as well as increase humidity. I use the Schefflera for all my chams.

I feed my chams a main diet of crickets. I occasionally tong feed them Dubia Roaches or superworms. When feeding crickets, I will place 8-10 in a plastic cup and LIGHTLY dust with the supplements. Shake them out onto the leaves in his cage. He needs the exercise chasing them down.

Gut load your crickets or whatever else you are feeding to Sebastion with apples, oranges, carrots, butternut squash or sweet potatoes. Avoid the dry gut loads a day or two before feeding them to your cham.

As far as supplements, I follow a 14 day cycle. Calcium WITHOUT D3 days 1-6. Day 7 use a Repti-vit. Days 8-13 Calcium WITHOUT D3. Day 14 use Calcium WITH D3. Use all supplements very sparingly.

Try using a plastic instead of metal feeding cup to avoid any possibility of rust.

Best of luck to you and Sebastion and I hope to have helped a fellow cham lover!
