Cham doesn't seem interested in silkies

I bought some silkies and my cham doesn't seem interested in them. He's about 5 months old at 6" long (panther) the worms are about 3". Are they just too big for him?

The worms will perch on a branch right in front of him and not move for HOURS.

i mean thats half your panthers size!
