Hi and welcome! So right off the bat, he’s getting too much vitamin D3. He should be getting a calcium without D3 at every feeding except one per week. That one weekly feeding, you should give the calcium with D3, the next week at that one feeding, give a multivitamin.

Do you think he needs to be taken to the vet? Or can I get it to clear up on its own. What supplements do you prefer. This his dust i give him.

Putting my feedback in red.
Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - he is a male. Juvenile i think. We got it whe. He was a couple months old. Yes, he is a he.
  • Handling - we handle him maybe once a week. Its hard cux we have little kids.. Smart!
  • Feeding - We were feeding him crickets with orange cubes and gut load. But he dont like those anymore. So he eats meal worms and wax worms. We also dust his food with d3 at least 3 times a week The orange cubes are a common mistake we’ve all made. They aren’t good for anything other than keeping bugs alive. Attaching gutload sheet for you. Also attaching feeder sheet. Mealworms aren’t good feeders and wax worms are ok but just for occasional treats. I feed my bugs with fresh ingredients from the list along with bug burger. I also add bee pollen, which you can also add to your supplement to dust the feeders in.
  • Supplements - calcium and d3, 3 times a week. Already advised.
  • Watering - we have a mister and water fountain. Dont see him drinking alor. While the fountains look nice, they are not good for chams. Just the mister is fine...suggested is at least 2 minutes early at/before lights on and later at/after lights off. If you want to add a dripper for about 20 minutes mid day, that is good too or add a mid day misting.
  • Fecal Description - poop is good urat is a little orange. Not tested for parasites.
  • History - no previous info
Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - large screen cage with a plexi glass viewing window.
  • Lighting - he gets light from 9 am to 9pm. And we have lizard lights Proper uvb is essential, so need to know exactly what type and strength you have. All I can see is what looks like a double dome. If so, it won’t be providing adequate uvb levels at any distance. A linear T5 with a 5.0 or 6% uvb bulb is the recommended.
  • Temperature - the cage is usually 70 degrees to 90 degrees. He has basking spot under his heat lamp Temps are a little too hot. If you could lower basking temp to between 80-85, that would be perfect.
  • Humidity - its always at or above 50 percent. You really need to lower this too. Ideal range is between 30-50%. If you get rid of the fountain and mist as above, humidity may fall into the ideal range.
  • Plants - yes two live plants one is a pothos not sure of the other one of the top of my head. But they are cham safe as I did my research. Love pothos! Get more of them! You want to create a leafy shaded area where he can escape the light/heat if he wants or hide in. Fake plants are a risk as veileds eat their plants and have been known to eat fake ones and get impacted. I use my fake ones outside my enclosure to provide more sense of privacy.
  • Placement - he is 4 feet off the floor. In the living room next to the couch. Yes, they like and feel safest when they are looking down at us.
  • Location - tillamook oregon
Current Problem - he has q buldging eye for a few moths now. Not getting better or worse. I had a very similar issue with one of my ladies when I tried a similar supplement. As soon as I stopped that supplement and put her on the basic regimen, her eye and gular edema cleared up immediately.

Some cham keepers do use this supplement, but I honestly am not sure of their regimens. Personally, I wouldn’t use it at all. If you will be buying all new supplements, perhaps a better and simpler course would be the calcium without D3 every feeding except once every 2 weeks. Then on that feeding, use Reptivite with D3. It’s a bit easier and the Reptivite with D3 is one of the very few that have preformed vitamin A for eye health.

Can you send me a list and pictures of what I should be using instead. I will for sure buy it. Hes expensive but worth it. I've done alot of research its just hard to focus cuz I have two small children attached to me at all times lol

I’m not as good as @Beman at identifying uvb lights. To me it appears to be a T5, but I may be wrong. I can’t identify that other bulb. If it’s a mercury vapor, it will need to be replaced with a regular old fashioned incandescent or halogen for basking. LED’s don’t emit much heat.

Yes, just give me a few and I will.
Aww...little ones make some things harder, but they are so awesome! :)

So the one in the dome fixture it does not produce light, correct? I believe both of the linear are T5's but hard to tell from the angle. On the bulbs they should have written on one side of them what they are... If you can get a pic of that I can tell you for sure what your using and if it is correct.
