hi, i have a baby Johnsons chameleon male he is almost 2 weeks old. i wanted to add a few frogs to his cage as well as some pitcher plants and maybe a few venues fly traps. i also have a pac man frog that i keep well fed. do you think it would be safe to put him in with the cham? and if not what types of frogs would be well suited to live w\ my little friend

none! Keep the frogs seperate. i would think a pac man frog would find a baby chameleon very appetizing, no matter how well fed. And what is a Johnson's chameleon? Do you mean Jacksons? Also, as your chameleon grows it may eat the frogs and they could be poisonous to him.

i think he or she meant johntson (chamaeleo johnstoni) its a montane tropical species.

don't keep any of those with your chameleon. out of curiosity where did you find your chameleon??

Welcome to the Forums! It seems like you are in good hands! I would highly discourage the adding of other animals into the enclosure of your cham. As far as the pitcher plants, i would be careful because some chams, even those outside the veil species, will munch leaves especially ones with a high moisture content, which perfectly describes pitcher plants.

i got my little friend at a local pet store, the store has a 2 year old female and a 1 year old male for sale. they ended up having a clutch of eggs so a friend and i each got one. thank you for all your support and the guy was right its a jacksons cham. again thanks for your help. i kept the pac man in his tank and the pitcher plants havent sprouted yet so ill just keep them out of the cage

haha Johnston and Jackson's, next there will be a Smith and a Jones! Learn something new on this here forum everyday! lol:rolleyes: I'll take my foot our of my mouth now!

Scared me. I have been looking for more johnstoni for quite some time now and if there were some I hadn't heard of I would need to step up my game!
