I'm trying this in my new cage for my Greengo it's mounted in a deep dome fixture... I was wondering since i have my heat lamp under his basking spot and the uvb lamp towards the back of the cage.. dose he still get the UVB he needs???

Was this a dumb question?? lol.. i only used a power-sun so it's a basking abd UVB, so he's under it while basking... never used the two light set up...

I think yes, if he can get close to it. They can move towards the UVB source if they want to. More naturally "sun like" to have the two close together though. My UVB tube and heat bulbs are positioned so that the cham can choose heat with little UVB or heat with lots of UVB or UVB with less heat. I notice all the chameleons will move between the various perch sites and appear to take advantage of each locations option.

power-suns should always be paired with a normal basking bulb. So the cham can decide on how much UV they want, and regulate their body temp.
