Carpet chameleon info wanted!!

Hi There, I keep carpets but have only had them for a few months. The carpet "expert" on the forum is Kevin Stanford, Dooley1, He has been writing articles About then for 5 or 6 years. My unrelated pair came form Kevin. I believe he is up to f5's at this point.

I do have information but can't seem to attach it here but will email it if you want to pm your email to me.

The little I know is that carpets are very shy, like lots of cover to the point they are hard to see, are very good little hunters and will eat most anything. They like a lot of misting - mine are automatic, 3 times a day for 6 minutes each time. They like to bask, the easiest time to find them is when they are at the basking spot.

I know I missed stuff but that is it so far. Oh yes they are very, very cute and colorful. Not something you can hold, very shy.

We have here a "search function" and there's a nice website called "google". Maybe you have heard about it before. Why don't you start to seach informations first on your side, before you expect that some forum members do the work for you ?

Benny we all love you and admire your knowledge, and I still like it when you get testy but these new people just don't know you yet. You can still sound so mean.

To the rest of you Benny is a lovely person who is sometimes short on patience, but he is an excellent source of information when he wants to be. You just have to wait your turn.:)

I have a pair of cb carpets. I got them from forum member Dooley1. They are the smaller subspecies lateralis lateralis. Ive got mine in sepereate screen cages 16x16x30. I could have gone smaller but I like a little larger enclosure. My male is a little less tolerant of people but the female doesnt mind being watched. They enjoy a densely planted enclosure. And I havent noticed that they enjoy being handled any more than any other chameleon does. Jmp exp.

Wow Laurie. That was a great cliff notes version of carpet behavior. Mine act exactly as yours do. We may have related siblings. Keep me updated on yours. I got mine from Kevin back in may of this yr.
