D3 overdose symptoms are discussed in one of the sites I posted at the end of my big long post...
"Excess Vitamin D actually causes ABSORPTION of bone. It actually mimics hyperparathyroidism. 3. Vitamin D causes calcification of bone. Excess Vitamin D causes inappropriate mineralization of organs such as the kidney or soft tissue. Excess Vit D3 and Calcium has been implicated in mineralization of large blood vessels, causing cardiac disease. 4. If we fry the kidneys with excess Vitamin D we cannot get the active form, 1,25 Dihydroxycholecalciferol. Of course, there are many other problems that come along with fried kidneys. 5. The body will only allow so much Hydroxycholecaliferol before the conversion of Vit D3 in the liver is stopped. What happens to the excess Vitamin D3? It is stored in the liver doing no good but potentially causing problems in the future. 6. If the Calcium-binding proteins remain in the cells for weeks after the 1,25 Dihydroxycholecalciferol is gone, why are we redosing two or three times a week? 7. When we over supplement our baby chams with Vit D and Calcium, Calcitonin is secreted which has the job of DECREASING serum calcium."...

Don't use any d3 for a couple of weeks. then go to once a month. Then move to twice a month for the third month and ongoing. I hope you caught it early enough to have no problems.

OK- a couple of points brought up in this thread-
First temp-
Veiled eggs can incubate up into the lower 80s.
I used to incubate them at around 82-83 day, 72-73 nights and never had a problem. I also incubated some constant at around 80- 82 before and they were fine as well. At constant temperature they took longer and I felt like they hatched smaller. This was early 90s. By late 90s I was just putting them in a bathroom which fluctuated from low to upper 70s depending on the time of day and time of year, and that is how I continue today.
Points are- upper 70s is not too hot for veiled eggs. Fluctuating temperatures are not a problem and might even be desirable.
And lastly- if you have air conditioning, I've found that if you put your eggs in a small bathroom and keep the door closed, it remains cooler than the rest of the house. You can also put the eggs containers in a shoebox (so they remain dark) and put them on the tile floor of the bathroom to help keep them cooler as well...

Hey guys i need help? i was putting my female into the males cage and she puffed up and ran to him with her mouth open and it looked like she wanted to eat him but hes 10 times her size. he just looked at her like wut the hecks ur problem and i took her out any one herd of a female attacking a male??????

Hmm. This is what I was kind of wondering. I have mine in a Hova Bator incubator and my house is HOT and HUMID. D: It got to 100 degrees here today and it isn't normal for South Dakota.. I checked my incubator and it was at 85 the other night. I have been in the process of lowering it.. Should I just forget about plugging it in?

The only flaw with that post is that you don't mention Brands of Calcium +D3.
Dusting Daily with Flukers/Exo-Terra/Zoomed Brand Calcium with D3 is definitely viable. It also helps eliminate the Spiky dosing of using RepCal.
I know of several breeders that have swapped from RepCal to other brands as they feel it's more beneficial for the animal to receive regular dosing of D3.
