So, I've been shopping around for a car for the past two-three weeks. I found a nice Ford Escape that was perfect but it had way too many miles on it so that was out of the question according to my dad.. Now I found another one around town and it was too expensive. He found a 1996 Ford Explorer, but I don't like the age and the style of them. My bottom line for a car is a 2002. That is when the models change for most SUV's pertaining to Ford's. There is a 2003 Ford Explorer that is red with leather interior and heated seats, sun-roof and it's an Eddie Bauer Edition. That is at a great price and not too many miles. Less than the 1996 by about 10-20 thousand. I did however find another Ford Escape that is a 2007 that has 100,000 miles. Less than all the ones I looked at besides the 2006 Ford Escape that is $13,590. The 2007 is $11,999. I just want to pick a dang car and go. Of course, my father said that I can't get the first one I like, and it has to be up to his standards. I keep thinking to myself. I'll be paying for the payments, insurance and gas. I understand not wanting the high miles etc, but don't over-do it. Monday we go to test-drive the 1996 Black Ford Explorer that is crummy. I hope it runs horribly and has a horrid odor that can't come out of the nasty mobile. I would happily settle for the 2003 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition or the 2007 Ford Escape. (leaning for the Ford Escape). I may sound like a snob, but this is a present for not talking to me for 3 years straight and living across town from me and an early graduation gift... sigh. I really hate car shopping.
