Captive breeding of F1 T. jacksonii jacksonii

ahhhhh montane neonates, enjoy your nail biting, sleepless nights to come :D
and the best of luck!!!!!

thanks for taking the time to post vids, if pictures are worth 1k veileds, vids have to be worth at least a parsons

oh and i probably missed it but have you been a mod for a while or is this new, this is the first time i noticed it

Yeah, I'm not gonna try not to let it worry me until the babies are a couple months old. That's when I get scared with how comfortable they make you feel. As for the mod thing, nope, I was one of the first four. What, a year-and-a-half ago now?

I'd say I'd take more vids of the j.j.'s but they're pretty boring other than the mating, which should be all over soon. Maybe once I finish setting up the reptile room I'll do a little video tour or something.

No one cares? Really?!? :( Are F1 female j.j.s getting bred all the time now?? :D

Where have you been:p

Do you think it was the temps that made the environment unstable or other factors? Is loosing equilibrium a common side effect when temps are too high or other factors with live bearers or neonates in general?

Kent, I care:D I hope you annoy everyone with updates like I do with the tavs:rolleyes:

I don't think it was temps as the daytime highs were staying the same from the time they were born until they started acting ill. The overnight temps may have been warmer, but only slightly. The two that survived never showed any signs of the problem but were kept in the same tubs as the ones that did. I wish I knew...

Four days on and she's still receptive. I witnessed another copulation today and afterwards Randy followed Janet around like his chin was glued to her.
