Captive Bred Kinyongia matschiei from CNorton

Snagged a few pics the other night.

Crappy one of the female trying to go to sleep.

One not so close so you can get an estimate of his size.

Love the neon green with purples and yellows. They are finally starting to grow a little faster it seems. Ive moved them up to 1/2 crix finally. Katydids and brown crickets are finally out around the yard. Getting the usual grass bugs and spiders of course.

Here is a photo of my guy too.

Nice!! He is just ahead of mine. Do you have any shots with his tail straight out where you can see his package? It seems my male, at least I think, has a slightly larger tail base than the female but not really a bulge. He is ahead of her too so Im not sure if it is size. I do notice a difference in the horns but I still like to get my eyes on any picture to see if there are any other noticeable signs.

Thanks, Rob!! I absolutely love these guys.

A little update. Both are doing well and enjoying a lot of the brown and black crickets in the yard along with small hoppers. I actually lost the male the other day. I leave the pump sprayer on the deck to mist the cages below every morning before I leave for work. The stray cat that my roomie feeds must have rubbed against it and it fell on top of the males cage ripping the aluminum. I came home to find it around 6 in the afternoon. Completely bummed out. I live on top of a mountain and there are lots and lots of super tall trees everywhere. I can almost say the Appalachian trail is in my back yard. Anyway, even though very discouraged knowing he could be up 100 foot plus trees I looked anyway. Couldnt find him so I decided to take a nap and wait for dark. It was the time he would have already been roosted for the night so I knew he was staying put wherever he was. Got up when it was dark, snagged a flash light, went outside and started to look. Found him in about one minute in a small tree about 7 feet up. He was glowing lime green while all the other leaves were dark green. I just couldnt believe it. Got really really lucky on that one.

Anyway, here are a couple pics.

Not the best but here is the male.

You can actually see some of the subtle colors they have in the pics.

Here is a side view, he looks like a monster, but he's not:)

I know that Furcifer aren't your thing, but if you want I'll give you a couple lats when they start hatching again in the fall/winter. :) You know that you can't be content with just two chameleons. Ha.

Kevin

Thanks guys.

Tylene, yours is looking awesome!!

Kevin, Let me know when they start hatching. I do need more chams but I keep holding out because Id like to save my room for some Kinyongias if ever imported again.

They look good man, I love those little nubs! ;D

To embed youtube videos:

Pull up the video. Look at the address bar. You need to copy a small portion of whats there. Using your first video up there as an example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uxLe1cdBNA&feature=player_detailpage

The bit you need is what comes after the: watch?=
(the bit that says feature=player_detailpage is not always there, but if it is, include "feature" but not anything after it, so:

7uxLe1cdBNA&feature

...is what you want.

Then, simply put it inside of the youtube tag, which will look like this:

Doing so should give you this:
