Not a medical concern personally, but ive owned a veiled for just under 2 years, had to give her up, and a panther that i owned for about 6 or 7 months right after being born. While your chameleon will stress you out, do not always overreact. If you follow the basic husbandry steps provided on this forums, 9/10 if your chameleon came from a reputable breeder, the care you will provide it based off your knowledge this site will instill in you, can lead you to have a very happy and healthy chameleon. A chameleon is the most stressful animal i have ever cared for, but when you keep it happy and healthy, it is also the most rewarding one to care for.

For the most part you are right, but sometimes even the perfect set up and care does not equal a healthy chameleon. We have had many long time keepers whose chameleons get ill and even die. It has to be genetic I think in some cases. Some things are out of our control.
