The chameleons will be 1 month and 1 week old this Saturday. I woke up this morning and went to go feed them and this is what I found. They are all doing it, a lot look like the guy in the pics and some are just starting. More than half have started already. Last week they weighed in at an average of 2 grams. Its hilarious looking. When I look in the container I see white instead of green. Maybe I will be able to get a pic of a fresh nicely shedding tail. I hope you guys enjoy the pics.

Yeah they do look sunken in for some reason. I don't know, I think it may just have been irritated from the shed or something. Its not dehydration because I mist them about 4 times a day. When I put him back in the cage and then looked at him again it seemed normal and not really sunken in. I think the pic makes it look worse than it really is.

This is the same guy. His left eye is looking forward and the right is kind of looking forward. Does his eyes look fine? If they don't what do you think it could be. I don't think it is dehydration because all of their droppings look good and are pure white

24 views and only one reply. Julirs got me worried about his eye now. Anyone else have anything to say about it? Does it look ok or what? They are drink great and their urates are perfectly white. Could it just be irritated from the shed? I mist them like crazy and their crickets are hydrated so I am pretty positive its not dehydration.

hahaha. i always feel so bad for chams when they shed, looks so gross and uncomfortable! yours looks very cute... as for the eye thing, i'm not sure... if his urates are white he's probably not dehydrated... maybe best to take him to get checked if it doesn't improve, just to be safe.

If urates are white-it could just be the shed and the picture-they look great in every other way!

I looked at everyone's eyes and they all are nice and full. Some look a little funky though because of the shedding, it looks dried out around the eye and they keep itching it but it is just the shed. I can't wait to see what they will look like in another month. I am probably going to keep 2 males or so and raise them up into they are fully grown. Here is the sire, it is a horrible picture but this is of the day he was about to mate with my female. I really wish he wasn't under all of the leaves so I could have taken a better picture.
