would u be able to help me figure out what is wrong with my mistking set up?

i could take a quick video of how i got it connected if it could give u a better idea. :)
.....

i have a bucket (resivoir) and outside of it a small 3 inch tube piece coming out of it, then i connected that to that "blue colored switch for turning the water down/up"...

out of that there is about a 3 foot tube going to my first cage. it goes upward.

after that first cage, the tubing is connected along 3 other cages across to the left.

then directly across infront of that 4 th cage on the left, it connects to the 5th cage

that connects to 3 others to the right.

i took those black clips off to plug in the tubing as far as it will go, then i replace the black clip to secure it? does this secure it enough???

(every once in a while one of the tubes will get loose and water will run out! leaking and making puddles galore! LOL)

it isnt just one tube, it can happen to all of them. none of them are favored.

i have the tubes tied to the screen (with metal wire) (on top of the cage) to secure it better.

if i dont have the tubes tied with metal wire to the screen, the tube vibrates like an earthquake and is more likely to get one of the tubes loose and then the leaking begins!

i do not use those metalic like plates, (shaped like hmm.. half an octogon???) they're used to secure the knozzle piece itself... I couldnt find a way to actually make use of it...and the reflection of it made two of my males really angry seeing their reflection!

note: i peeled the tan colored piece of fabric off of it before i even thought if i should have left it on! although i still think you're supposed to remove it....

there are a bunch of these L shaped connecters? it looks like you're supposed to connect them to the knozzle itself???

do any of you have any pictures of ur set-ups? i use the zip/drip system.

i cant find the booklet! if i had it i wouldnt be asking all of you for ur help... thanks in advance!

any close-up pix of ur knozzles and how theyre placed on the cage and what keeps them from vibrating a lot would help a bunch!:)

The manual is on the mistking website.

As far as the leaking connections go....
1. You can epoxy it (not great idea if you take apart a lot)
2. Cut the tubes and refasten it
3. Replaces the pieces with those extra parts marty gives you.

Mine will leak as well. Drives me crazy. Usually cause the tubes are vibrating. Fasten the tubes to the wall or something to prevent them from vibrating.

LMAO I was going to post but paused to watch something on TV and fell asleep. I have no recollection of that post...oops my bad..It was late.

For your hoses coming loose just get some small stainless steel hose clamps.

Brian,

I connected my hoses to the cheap push-on style you buy in a bag at Home Depot in the sprinkler pipe supplies. They are used in connecting 1/4" inch tube to go into flower baskets and pots of flowers. They are hard to put on, but don't leak with (any) movement.

That being said, my mistking does not vibrate the hoses.....It may help if you mount the pump on a a piece of wood-I used 2-8 x 10's, 24 inches long, screwed together in a 90 degree angle on the 24 inch length. That may be the trick you need.:D

My only thought is that you didn't push the tubing in far enough.

I haven't had a single drop leak from any of my connections once I pushed in the tubing all the way.

There are 2 'clicks' when you put the tubing in, 1 you think is in, and another that REALLY is in.

My tubing vibrates like crazy currently, but that is because I haven't fastened it to anything yet.
