Can you breed different species together. Is it good. Do they look weird, good, bad, different.

For the most part, no you can't. Definetely not panthers and veileds. Some other closely related species hybridize in captivity, but there's no reason to. And no one does.

End of thread?

You think I should start a thread declaring I've successfully bred two different species and released all 60 of them in the wild? Might cause a temporary shut down of the forum.

I was on a gecko forum a while back and some one posted pics of a Rhacodactylus ciliatus (crested gecko) x R. chahoua gecko they had bred.

It caused quite the stir over there...

I never did find out if it was fertile.

Gene manipulation! I say we slice and dice the two together on a genetic level… we could throw some pig and bear in there… Chambearpig!
