I'm worried about my baby veiled or rather "teen" veiled. I'm not sure of her age. She's cut down on eating quite a bit these last 2 days, only had 2 little meal worms today. She also fell asleep a few minutes ago with the light on but she's all bright green soooo I just don't know if I should be worried. I did just drive her home with me to visit my parents for thanksgiving, it was a 2 hour drive. But I had her cage set up all nice and she was heated just fine.

Try filling this out, from what you said already mealworms are not a good feeder. They're a treat, so rarely feed them.

Your Chameleon - My chameleon is a veiled female and I'm not sure she's more then a few moths old. I've had her for about 3 weeks.

Handling - I handle her maybe once every other day.
Feeding -I give her 6 meal worms and 6 super worms and she usually eats a few a day. No I'm not gut loading them.. I don't even know how!

Supplements -I sprinkle calcium on the worms every time I put new ones in. I don't know what the calcium brand is. The place I got her from just gave me a cup labeled calcium on it.

Watering - I have a dripper thing but I sprits in there with a bottle a few times a day too. I have never seen her drink

Fecal Description - her droppings are brown and one was yellowish. No I've never had her tested.

History - I know none of her history, I bought her from some reptile store iin a mall.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - I'm not sure of the dimensions but the cage isn't small and it's screened on all 4 sides including the top

Lighting - I have a uvb lamp I use from about 8 every day until 10 when I go to sleep.

Temperature - I have a heating bulb on the top of the cage and I'm not sure of the temperature in her basking are because I havent moved her reptile thermometer yet but I'll let you know when I do.

Humidity - I have no idea!

Plants - using fake plants the store gave me.

Placement -I keep her cage on a counter by a window.

Location - North Eastern Washington.

Current Problem -She's only eaten two worms today and she fell asleep a few minutes ago with the lights on. But she's bright green sooo I don't know whats going on.

Temperature and humidity are important. You can buy gauges, the electronic ones are what most use, as I already stated in my last post mealworms are not a good feeder for all the time, what brand of UVB do you have? What watt heat lamp? For the suppliments the normal schedule (I wouldn't use what they gave you if you don't know what it is) calcium without d3 everyday, calcium with d3 2x a month, multivitamins 2x a month. Gutloading is what you feed the feeders, and when you feed them, say if you feed them fresh greens or storebought food and water, and how long before you feed them off do you give them the food. Yellow urine means slightly dehydrated, how long do you mist?

well.. the people who gave me this expensive starter kid really gave me zero advice on what to do and not enough stuff. The guy at petco also said meal worms were good for a staple diet. I wish I could talk to someone who knew what they were talking about. I'm at my parents house with her so I really have no information on the lamps. I know the heat emitter is 150 watts and I know nothing about the uvb. I just spritz in there with a spray bottle every few hours.

PetCo and PetSmart basically have 0 knowledge on chameleons. When you can get a temp and humidity reading, do you just spritz or do you mist down the entire cage until it's dripping plenty?

yeah usually mist until it's dripping in there. but since I got a dripper I've just been spraying in there occasionally. I'm stressing out because if she gets sick now there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. my parents live in a small town and the nearest pet store is 2 hours away. will she be alright with just meal worms until Sunday? I'll try to gut load them... but I really don't know how to go about that.

With a dripper you still need to mist alot. She'll live, don't worry. You can check our sponsors and order crickets, dubia roaches, etc, that are good for staples. Mealworms just have very low nutritional value and hard shells that can cause impaction.

You can try a shower, to do that you put a plant in your shower, with the chameleon on it, and aim the spray of the shower at the wall, where it then bounces off onto your cham. Do you have a laying bin in your enclosure? Females will lay eggs whether or not they have been with a male, and if they don't have the proper things to lay in they can become eggbound.

Does she have a place in the cage to dig to show you when she needs to lay eggs? They can lay eggs without having mated.
What country do you live in?

That you should bow and kiss my feet. It's 3 am too, got important stuff tomorrow anyway.. wooo idiotic teenage all nighters... going strong... yay caffeine.

She seems to be doing better today , finally saw some droppings. They had a little yellow in it though so I've started misting/drenching the plants more often. When I go back to pet co what kind of vitamin supplements should I ask for? andddd since my meal worms are in bran .. are they already being gut loaded or no? what else should I do?
