can hydei fruit flies climb on packing tape?

title says it all. can they climb on packing tape or are they restricted like crix and dubias. thx!

I know that melanogaster can climb glass. I wouldn't think that hydei would be any different. With that said, I'm gonna guess that they would be able to climb packing tape.... Just a guess though...

Hmmm...so I've done some research and it looks like some people say they can and others say they can't. It looks like there isn't a full proof way of keeping the ff's in a baby bin. I've read to keep fruits at the bottom helps but there has to be a better way.

Petrolium jelly around the edge of your bin might work?
