Can Chams get Diarrhea ?

I have a 18 month old female panther. Recently looks like she got the squirts. Nasty lookin' splatters. She always had normal movements in about a year I have her. Has this happened to anyone? Is it a common passing illness? Is it contagious? Hoping to get some input other than, take her to a vet for a fecal. That would be a last resort.

Yes, it usually means they have a parasite and need meds and fast! I know its not what you wanted to hear but you really need to get her not just to a vet but to a good reptile vet that has cham experience.

If you've just recently been feeding her a large quantity of juicy soft-bodies feeders (silkworms and hornworms) it is possible this is a resulting temporary change in the consistency of her exrement. If this were the case, feeding her crickets/roaches and the like will resolve the issue very quickly.

Otherwise, I would expect a vet visit is in order. Never should this be considered a last resort, rather a normal regular practise.
