Can anyone tell if my jackson is male or female?

I got my Jackson last week and I forgot to ask whether its a male or female. Can anyone help me identify it?

More than likely he's a boy. Females can have horns but its really rare and they stay as very tiny nubs compared to the males.

He's a cute little guy.

I agree with the above. That is exactly how my male looked when he was a wee little one. The females can have horns but like they said it is very rare.

I'd like to address something that was not considered. Who is to say this is not a species of jacksonii where the females do exhibit horns.

I do think it is a male, but if you'd take a picture of the base of his tail near the vent I can be 100%
