So seeing Red Island is bringing in some Campani, I was wondering if anyone had any input on them?

There's pictures on Google, they look pretty awesome. They look small like a jackson but crazy colors.

Why don"t I just come visit you? I would love to see babies. Wonder if they would let me bring one home in my pocket? No? I thought not.

I know people kept them before the ban and would not be surprised if any keepers did not breed them. However the CIN never did an article about them if I recall correctly.
I recall people keeping them in Southern California before the ban. However that was a long time ago and they were not kept as often as other Madagascar chameleons. Kent, Trace or Chris would be good to ask more about this species.
Campani - those are the ones that look like watermelons with legs aren't they?!
They are tiny chameleons and they somewhat resemble Furcifer lateralis in body color. Except they prefer much cooler temperatures than Furcifer lateralis. You could say they are a montane species that require somewhat similar condition to Furcifer minor.

Me too. Except I have got to acquire a mate for Rhino first.

I have heard/read from other keepers in Europe that this is a popular species. I think Mario and a couple other keepers are breeding them.

I concur it is awesome to have the opportunity to work with a new Madagascar species after 17 years of being banned. Then to have the opportunity to work with a spectacular species such as Furcifer campani makes having the opportunity to work with them again even more awesome

They have been banned for 17 years. I have not got the opportunity to acquire any yet. Luis (TRH) and Red Island are bringing in some specimens.
Big things are happening in the chameleon world. Especially regarding chameleons from Madagascar.
