Camo ate apple!!

I am so happy! I finally found something non insect that Camo(my veiled) will eat, APPLE!! I've tried shredded carrots, romaine, greens etc and none have ever caught his interest. So today, I grated some apple and put it in his feeding dish with his crickets and when he was done with the crickets, I actually saw him go down to nibble on the apple mush! I was so excited I just had to share!! YAY:D

Nice! Ours ate watermelon the other day for the first time, we shaped it like a worm and he went for it, the look on his face showed that he expected something else...lol!!

You can also try other fruits, too. Mine like banana, pear, strawberry and grape. They'll also eat kale, collard greens and carrot. You don't have to make it mush. You can just slice into small slivers. Fruits are sweet so I wouldn't feed more than once or twice a week.

jann how old were yours when they first started eating fruits and veggies?!?! he will try everything once, but doesnt seem to be to keen on it just yet...

About 4 to 6 months old. Try to hand feed or you can put in a small shallow bowl.

One of my panthers was biting the base of the tree in his cage yesterday so I gave him a slice of peach. He only took a couple bite though.

I am new in Veil chameleons, but last week end to feed some crickets i get some of the green food sell by timberline, some pieces drop into the cage and the male veil goes direct and eat all, I put some more in all the cages and they love it,
for angriest veil's looking for my hand for more is a rare thing.
now ? it is save to feed this cricket food?
It is like green gelatin, enhaced with vitamins?
