Since Camille didn't like any of her laying bins my husband set up a big trash can for her yesterday with about a foot to a foot and a half of sand. He said she immediately went down the branch he had in it and started checking it out. When he got home from work yesterday she was digging and by 8:00 this morning she was almost laying on the top, very weak and thin; with the hole covered. She's drinking and eating heavily calcium dusted feeders.
How will we know if the eggs are fertile? She was mated on July 10th. What temperature do you incubate veiled eggs? We live in FL and our house stays pretty warm. Our coolest closet is about 77 to 78, will that be too warm? I may have to keep the AC cooler than normal????
