Cam went outside

So yesterday was the first very warm day we've had this spring and I decided to take Cam outside for the first time. I sat him down in some grass and let him play. The colors he turned!!! He went bright green with yellow, dark green with black and I even saw some orange. I took him out of the grass and put him on a tree beside my house. HE went pale green and started climbing like crazy. When I went to take him off the tree he opened his mouth as though to bite me. Is that normal behavior? Was taking him outside okay to do? How often should this be done and does wind play a factor in whether or not he should go outside?

My veiled used to do that. I think the outside can stress them at first, and also make them more guarded. Seems to me that they usually actually enjoy the adventure, but it might take him time to settle.
