calcium causing problems?

I have taken my cham to the vet multiple times for an eye closing problem... but i just noticed that my cham closes his eyes the days I give him prey dusted with calcium! I have all the right supplements, and its NOWHERE near as bad as it was but sometimes when I give him plain calcium he will start to close his eyes for a bit. He used to keep them closed a lot more but I cut down on the calcium and he seems to be doing a lot better. The pet store was watching for a week and they didn't supplement with calcium during his stay and he kept his eyes open as well. This is so strange!
In all my research I have never seen this problem before...

Other than that he is healthy (really stubborn about drinking but looks healthy)

Is there a lot of excess dust in the cup you're dumping them out of? Maybe some of the calcium powder is becoming air born when you're dumping them in?

I hand feed, so I pick them out individually and tap them a bit to shake off the dust a little bit. I try not to overcoat them. Could it be possible that there is some sort of allergic reaction happening? I'm thinking I should change brands of powder

I honestly don't know. That's really odd. You could try changing your supplement powder, and see if it stops. Is he getting misted enough to clean his eyes out, if he needs to?

Yes, I mist him by hand and he also has an automatic mister. I make sure some of it rolls off his head (which he hates, lol) I will try switching suppliments!
