I'm going to be working offshore for 4wks at a time soon nd I'm going to leaving my Cham in the care of my girlfriend, she doesn't like to handle the crix so was thinking of feeding him these while im away then more variety when I'm home (also for 4 wks). Would this be ok or should I tell my girlfriend to man up nd grow some balls lol

I say she needs to grow some!!:p I would not just feed those for 4 weeks. What about some silkworms too? I won't even talk about roaches.....

Get your girlfriend a dustbuster, one that you only use for crickets. Show her how to suck them up, then dump them into a cricket keeper to dust them, then shake them into the cage. She'll never even touch a single cricket, and your cham will continue to have a variety of feeders while you are away.

or a cricket keeper with the tubes. They crawl up into the tubes, you can throw some supplements in there, swirl it around and then take the cap off and she will never have to lay a hand on them.

Well...I think phoenix worms are great feeders but,in my opinion, you should never introduce a new feeder when you are not there.

I think she's just going to have to "man up"..... tell her to PM me if she needs moral support.

The crickets need to be FED. It doesn't have to be the wonderful gutloading experience they are used to in your care, but they need food and water. She will need to check on them at least twice a week to see if they need more food or water and provide it (really...seriously...have her PM me).

I was thinking bout offering him calci worm, silk nd butter worms soon, she often comes on the forums on my phone so il get her to email you if she gets stuck thanks, I can get some1 to come round 2-4 times a week to gut load crix nd feed them to Rango so hopefully everything will be ok. I read somewhere that you didn't have to dust calci worms but I don't really trust it????
