I'm planning on getting my first cham in a few months from now. i have been reading up on a lot of sites and forums. I was wondering if it is a OK idea to put the cage in the bathroom. the shower would make the humidity nice in there, but on the other hand can u put the cage close to a over/under washer dryer. ty for any input u all have.

i was thinking this at my sisters house. she has an unused bathroom and i thought that i can convert the bathroom into a cham cage. talk about easy drainage!

uhh... no...
I don't like either location.
for couple of reasons:
1. Sanitary reasons. I don't like the idea of cricket running around in my bathroom (and they will escape from the cage. It just a matter of when).
Let alone the humidity might promotes fungus and mold's growth.
2. Not an ideal environment.
Assuming that you put your washer and dryer in garage or near garage, the temp can get weird in that area (either too hot or too cold).
Also, the vibration from the machines will probably stresses your chameleon.
Although they do not have ear, they sense vibration and low frequency.
4 Nightcrawler.. If the bathroom is unused then it might be possible to do.
