I have a 10 inch jacksons in an 18 by 18 by 24 cage right now. I dont have too much foliage or cover for him because i wanted him to have space. He eats drinks thermoregulates normally, but he always seems unhappy! I would gladly build a cage or buy a bigger one but i just don't have the money! Is it okay for him to be in that small of a cage??

For starters, get a live plant (less expensive) and place in your enclosure to provide more coverage, then check daily on Craigslist for used screened cages at least 3' preferably 4' tall. They run around 30-40 dollars.

Or save up for a LLL Reptile 24x24x48 cage for around 100 dollars or so.

That is the start, if you fill out the chameleon info form we can see all of your husbandry techniques for more clarification.

Yes, get a pothos or something.

The extra cover will make him much happier, the extra humidity it provides will also keep him happy. A bigger cage will make him happy as well. Thats fairly small. So he has lots of reasons to bbe unhappy atm. ;):p
