no expert here but, generally advised to not put in fake plants (especially with veileds/plant eating species), to use non transparent cups if you're going to cup feed, no heat pads, none of those night time bulbs, no water bowls, no waterfalls and foggers... (fidel beat me to it)

Fake silk vines are fine. I buy mine from walmart because they are cheaper. Just wash them down first. But I generally put in more live plants than fake ones. Don't use substrate because there are a number of problems that can happen. For the potting soil, use regular topsoil like supersoil brand. Also make sure there are no fertilizers in it.

The big one in the middle is a ficus benjamina. The others are Hibiscus, Pothos, and an umbrella tree in the back. I buy them all at walmart because they are the cheapest. Just clean them really good with soapy water and replace the soil with supersoil brand topsoil.

My Ficus came with ferts in the soil so instead of repotting it - which I've heard they don't like sometimes - I cut a slit halfway through a paper plate and put it around the stem and covered the soil. It seems to work fine so far. I'm also using Hibiscus plants. I've got a mixture of live and silk plants in my enclosures. I use grape vines that I found in the forest behind me. Easy to clean and much cheaper than the HUGELY expensive fake stuff.
Now I do have one of those purple night bulbs to simulate the moon and add some heat to the mesh cage but somebody said that's a no-no. I'm just wondering why that would be a problem? It doesn't put out very much heat and there would be moonlight in the wild.

The reasons for repotting the soil is to prevent your cham from eating the fertilizer and also to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide given off from the soil. Fertilizer can produce alot of carbon dioxide fumes that can hurt your chams lungs over time. It may be bad for the plant to replace the soil but it is healthy for your cham. If you still need to add fertilizer to your plants, do what I do. I bought two ficus trees that I rotate every 3 months. One goes inside the cage with topsoil and the other stays outside with fertilizer. I change the soil every time I bring it back into the cage.
