Murphy currently resides in a 24'' long 12'' deep 24'' tall screen cage.
I am wondering when he will outgrow this cage. I will probably build his next enclosure. I just want to know when to expect to start building. Murphy is currently only about a month or so old, so i should have plenty of time.

i am not sure but when you see murphy scratching at the sides like as he is trying to get out have his big cage ready

Kokomo Indiana! I was born there and still have plenty of family there!

As stated above, depending on how quickly he grows somewhere after 5-6 months.

Alright thanks, any dimensions I was thinking around 4' high 2' long and 2' deep. Murphy is a veiled chameleon.

Free range! Free range! Free range! :D if you're making it, and you definately want a cage, then make it nice and tall with a stand under it to raise it even more!

Sounds great, I dont think free range is an option though because I have two cats and I wouldn't want them taking a swipe at Murphy.

Those darned kitties! :) I definately say, if you have the space, go for 6 feet tall and more than two wide, and two deep. :D

If it is a veiled, kitties are lunch....:D i have built a lot of cages, and cost wise, the LLL Reptile screened cages are much cheaper than building your own unless you already have the materials, their 24 x 24 x 48 is what I use in my house.

That being said, I am building a new outdoor 6 unit condo, because I really like the process of building, and am using 1/2" x 1/2" plastic screening for maximum UVB penetration, which can't be bought in a premade cage.

Whichever way you go, enjoy the process!:D
