Cage bottom

Building some knew cages soon. Was wondering if anyone has ever used culture marble for bottom. I have a store bought cage with plastic on bottom and was going to build similar but use a piece of cultured marble for bottom instead of plastic.

Standard. Going to build it like the reptibreeze but out of wood and bigger. Going to use the cultured marble like the plastic pull out bottom.
