Cage bottom

Building some knew cages soon. Was wondering if anyone has ever used culture marble for bottom. I have a store bought cage with plastic on bottom and was going to build similar but use a piece of cultured marble for bottom instead of plastic.

Cultured marble is a type of engineered stone. ... Engineered stone is a popular option for bathroom fixtures such as showers because they are durable and water-resistant. They are also scratch and heat-resistant. Plus, engineered stone is non-porous, unlike natural stone. So I think you have an excellent idea. It should easily have a 20 yr lifespan.
