Buying eggs ?

Yes, yes, But it still doesn't hurt to mark the top of the eggs just in case. I still mark all mine after a diapause.

What do you mark them with? I marked my first few clutches and now don't. I'm always afraid of scratching the surface of anti-bacterial cuticle that covers the eggs when they are laid. I keep meaning to buy a soft pencil but never have.

I use a ball point pen. There are magic markers that use vegetable oil (not permanent) that would be better, but I've never had any problems with ball point pens.

Bean beetles are a good feeder for hatchlings. You might want to find some now. They are easy to keep going. Just give them more dried blackeyed peas every so often and keep them warm to get them breeding.
