Ive seen them on website lists for sale an i also possess a butterfly bush in my backyard. Its a two fold question. Are they an okay feeder or is that meant for other reptiles and two. If i put him in butterfly bush and takes down a monarch butterfly or something is that dangerous for him.

Thanks

Monarchs are toxic to chameleons from what I have read. You have to be careful with butterflies. Painted ladies are safe and the white ones are ok and brown moths are ok also.

I've heard this also, however, I've never had an issue. I used to buy bugs from kids in my neighborhood years ago. One June there were monarchs everywhere. I fed a bunch to my Jackson's and Veiled's without a problem.

O'come on! I think this would be a good thing for you carol. YIt could be your claim to fame! YOU MUST VIDEO IT ALL :D

lol John! I have already been seen out at all hours with a net and a cup at my front door light trying to catch moths! My neighbors across the street asked me one day what I do out there and after I told them they know bring me large moths when they can catch them for me. See, I train them well!!!:D BTW, I don't think you answered my last pm!???
