Guessing he is about a year and a half. Adopted him from a guy in the air force that was not home enough to care for him. This also means I am not sure how long the bump has been there, or how fast it has grown. I just have never seen anything like this on any of my herps in the past. There are several possibilities. I would say this calls for a trip to the vet. You have a beautiful chameleon there. Truly. How old is he?

I am actually researching that right now. There are many in the area that will see lizards, but I am trying to find someone that has experience using a local vet. In the past, I have noticed that half of the vets that will see them, don't really know what they are talking about. Since it's not an emergency, I at least have time to look around and find a good one. I live in Spokane, WA.I agree. Do you have a vet that knows chameleons?
Yah, that one lists Banfield as well. I am still looking, so hopefully I can find one that knows their stuff.Maybe this will help: http://www.herpvetconnection.com/washing.shtml
