It's illegal to own Dubai Roaches in Florida. Every website I've checked absolutely will not ship to me...what buzz kill! I was going to start a colony before my panther got here. Are there any roaches that are legal to own and still offer quality protein and breeding like the Dubai?

Don't you guys have a lot of native roach species? I seem to remember someone calling them palmetto bugs when I was down there as a kid.

Ok I found Discoid Roaches are the answer to my question. They are legal in FL and can't fly but breed well.

And yes the Palmetto bug. They are rather crazy. Super fast and remind me of that MTV movie "Joe's Apartment"

You can get Discoid roaches. most online sellers will not ship here, but if you find a seller from florida, you'll be good.. ben siegels reptiles sells discoids. they are located in deerfield beach
